It’s Only You

30.04.2016

Greatest Hits is the name of Price’s debut pop album and performance concert (2015). The work deals with the nostalgic feelings of existing lyrics and melodies, embodied in mechanisms of mainstream pop, while attempting to explore the potential of musical and performative formats. The forms of his work, mutating through showrooms, galleries or clubs, are always experienced differently. He creates musical and performative situations using the vocabulary of pop culture, which embodies the language of the masses. His aesthetics speak of the urge for self-expression, transparency in society and “language as the house of being” for a homeless generation in the age of neoliberalism.

The first part of the evening Price will perform with workspace brussels, where he developed new work in April 2016. He offers personal and at times fragile insight into his work in progress. This will be followed up by a performance-concert of his greatest hits.
